We loved how much care generations of the family have put into this hotel. The rooms are very clean and generously sized, with plenty of traditional German charm, and the owners and staff made us feel welcome. Breakfast was everything we needed. Because of Corona there was no buffet, so we told them what we wanted beforehand and could adjust our order during the stay. The hotel is right in the center of Kochel am See, and we had amazing mountain views. The lake, a bakery, an organic cheese and veggie shop, a bike shop, and more were all within walking distance.

We stayed three nights and had a great time. The hotel feels authentic and homey, and free access to public transport made it convenient to go hiking around the area.

The family were so welcoming and hospitable, and they really make the difference here. It feels like an authentic German stay, with good restaurants nearby and a nice lake. Walchensee, garmish, mittenwald and other places aren't far away. We'd come back.

The breakfast was good, and we received great hospitality. Everything else was as expected, though the WiFi was a little unreliable. I'd stay again, 5/5.

The location was amazing, and the staff were nice. Our room was cozy, very clean, and decorated with care.
