Restaurant - Pension Zum Aumatal

The food was okay, but the service felt overwhelmed and unprofessional. We had trouble finding vegetarian options and got odd looks when we asked about our dietary needs. No one checked whether we liked the meal, and we had to ask for more drinks. When we raised concerns, they didn't seem very open to criticism. We ended up getting dessert somewhere else.

The food was fine, which makes the rest of the evening a shame. A Christmas party was going on at the same time, and the noise made a normal conversation at our table impossible. We were there for a family meal, but after we ordered, the staff were barely around. One dish was forgotten, and even after we asked about it, it took another 30 minutes to arrive. When they cleared the table, no one asked if everything had been all right or if we needed anything else.

The breakfast we'd been promised for 6:30 a.m. wasn't ready. It was dark, and we couldn't find any staff, so we left without eating. There was no Wi-Fi in the room either. Maybe this hotel was modern back in 1980.

The server was friendly and efficient, but the food was disappointing. My steak au four was very bland, and the meat hadn't browned. The fries alongside it were soggy and undercooked. We went for dinner here for the first time last week, and the low ceiling made the restaurant feel cold and rather uncomfortable. We won't eat here again when we're next in Weida.
