The place was a rip-off at that price. Half of it is still a construction site, and the smell of kebabs is constant. Getting into the room means going through the storage room with a code that everyone in the kebab shop downstairs knows. Check-in happens there too. The TV didn't work, and half the outlets had no power. I also suspect customers from the shop use the hostel toilets.

We booked two nights but left after just one. There wasn't even hot water in the shared shower the next morning. At night, the snack bar owners could be heard cleaning and shouting until around 1 a.m., and the room smelled of frying oil and smoke. It was generally unclean, there was no Wi-Fi key, and one curtain couldn't keep the room dark. Check-in was at the snack bar, with no staff on site. Staying here would be more pleasant in hell, where there's at least hot water. NEVER AGAIN!!! Königswinter looks pretty run-down now, though it seems the town used to be beautiful.

The room was filthy, and we found bedbugs. We contacted the landlord, but they were dismissive and wouldn't refund us. We left right away without spending the night.

The only person to contact is the owner of the Turkish kebab shop on the ground floor, and there's nobody to talk to at the construction site where you spend the night. Once was enough, never again.
