Hotel Augustiner Tor

The room was warm, cosy, and very nice. Staff were friendly, the service was very good, and breakfast was perfect. It’s also close to the station, which makes getting out on trips really convenient. 5/5

The location is amazing, right in the city centre. The staff were really kind, and my room was clean and smelled good. It’s a simple hotel. Breakfast was nice but basic, with not much variety, and the towels were old. There’s no parking, and you have to carry your luggage up a few stairs yourself before reaching the elevator.

Room 303 was spacious, with a big toilet and a huge window that gave it very good ventilation. The balcony was cosy and had a nice view over the main street. The shower was the one awkward part, since it was small and inconvenient. Breakfast was a mediocre 6/10, though the seating area itself was really nice.

I arrived at Hotel Agustiner Tor at 10:06 PM on 1st Aug 2025, with a confirmed Booking.com reservation made at 10:00 PM. They refused to check me in because of a 10 PM cutoff that hadn't been made clear, even though the hotel was still available to book online when I made the reservation. The check-in instructions were confusing, emergency contact details were barely visible, and the Booking.com FAQs conflicted with the hotel's policies. A friend who booked through Hotels.com got a call from staff and was told to pick up a key at another location. I got no call or help like that. When I reached the hotel, I was met with rudeness, blame-shifting, and no accountability. Booking.com was no help either. They just told me to “call the hotel directly.” This experience with booking.com has definitely made me question their integrity. Avoid this place, and think twice about using Booking.com unless they improve how they communicate policies and handle customer service.
