The warm pools are a lot of fun, and the saunas are just right. I booked a weekend at this adults-only hotel and spa because I needed a break from the city, and it was a great place to rest. The buffet was really good, the staff were wonderful, and everything in the spa was clean and tidy. A walk around the lake is a must if you feel like stretching your legs.

There’s a lovely forest nearby with great paths for walking the dog, and the hotel sits right by the picturesque Beetz. A beautiful spot.

The room temperature was a real problem during my one-night stay. Opening the window didn’t help at all. The hotel itself is basic, but that part was fine. An interesting experience overall.

Sommerfeld is in a lovely rural area, with a wonderful lake nearby, and made for a peaceful escape from Berlin’s hustle and bustle. I had such a great stay. Just a heads-up: it isn’t in Berlin’s Zone C, so if you’re not driving your own car, make sure you get the right ticket.

The restaurant had good food and a great buffet selection. The bar is well stocked, though it closes at 23.00, which is a small drawback. My main gripe was the bedding: the beds are queen-sized, but the blanket is quite small. It was okay, nothing out of the ordinary, but I’d come back.
