Dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant were both just what we hoped for from traditional German food, and both were excellent. We were back in Germany for the first time, so it made for a lovely first night. The hotel sits in the middle of a small village, and the staff were genuinely helpful and welcoming. Our two rooms were together at the end of the hall as we’d asked, and both were spotless, quiet, and in great shape, so we slept really well. Parking felt tight, as it often does in Europe, so a smaller rental car is probably sensible if you’re visiting from America. The woman at reception even came outside during check-in to help us pick a good spot. A great stay.

The restaurant is right there, so there’s no need to look around Landstuhl for dinner, and the food is really tasty. The people were so friendly, and the room was always clean. The bed was wonderful, and it was very peaceful, with a lovely view from the window. I love this hotel.

My husband had the steak with pepper cream sauce, and my 11-year-old son finished every bit of his schnitzel. I went for the goat cheese starter and spinach and potato dumplings, both packed with flavor. Restaurant Olmuhle has friendly service and delicious gluten-free food. I’m looking forward to trying some of the other dishes and desserts next time.

A few minutes on foot gets you to downtown, and the hotel is well placed. It’s a lovely, quiet, cosy place.

I only ate at the restaurant, I didn’t stay at the hotel. The German food was delicious and authentic, and the service was warm and top notch. The dining area and washrooms were very clean. Staff were patient when there was a language barrier. I’ll definitely come back.
