The food was great, and the service was too. I’ve been here for family get-togethers twice, 17 years apart, and both visits were wonderful.

A lovely find when you're tired from travelling. I've stayed here several times over the past 2-3 months and plan to keep coming back. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. I can't say whether they speak English. It's about an hour from Zurich, a good alternative for anyone avoiding the overpriced, overhyped accommodation there.

The dining rooms have a quiet, cosy feel, and the food is delicious, especially the schnitzel and fish dishes. The fish options are only available after the last day of the Fasching festival. There are several schnitzel varieties, with hearty, mostly meat-based German food that feels relatively authentic. The menu is à la carte, and the prices seem a bit high for the location and competition. Wine is available, though it isn't listed on the menu, so guests from outside the region might find the choices confusing.

I was happy to travel a bit farther to spend less, and this is a great value family-run place with good restaurant food. It's popular in spring and summer. For anyone visiting Zurich who's looking for a more economical option and doesn't mind the extra travel, I highly recommend it.
