A few books and mini-games are there to keep you occupied, and Wi-Fi is available. The kitchen is compact but has what you need: a fridge, stove, oven, sink, toaster, coffee maker, and kettle. The hosts live on the ground floor and are friendly, easy to reach, and happy to give first-time visitors a quick introduction to Leer and its sights. The apartment is lovingly furnished, and each room locks separately. One bedroom has a double bed, the other two single beds, making it suitable for a couple with two children. Small dogs are welcome. The bathroom is adequate for a holiday place, and the shower is big enough to use comfortably. The kitchen is small, but you're not likely to do much cooking on holiday anyway.

The rooms were clean, and the landlord was nice. Medium-sized dogs are no problem for him, which is a plus. Still, this didn't feel like a typical holiday apartment to me. It's the upstairs floor of a house, and it doesn't have a lock. The bathroom is tiny, the kitchen and living area are sparsely furnished, and noise carries throughout.

The landlords live downstairs, and the doors squeak. The living room cushions are completely worn out, and the little shower leaves no room to move. The 140cm bed squeaks and creaks too, with a plywood board instead of a slatted frame. This didn't feel like an apartment at all!!!! You go up the stairs into a house, then find three separate rooms off a small hallway. Everything is open-plan, so there's no privacy.
