Lovely place, great food, and kind staff. We'll be back!

I'm reviewing the restaurant, not the hotel. The service was professional and very kind, and we felt welcome and respected. It's easy to reach from the highway, with plenty of parking. The dining rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. We'd eaten here 15 years ago and remembered liking the food, so our expectations were high. Some things were excellent: the dip, the Flaedlesuppe, and the sauces. The soup was especially good if you like light, clear soups. They also mostly use local ingredients, much of it grown in their own backyard, which we appreciated. Other dishes were less successful. The naan was fatty, and the schnitzel wasn't especially memorable. Maybe pork was the reason, since it wasn't veal, but for the price we expected more. The fries need work too. The Zwiebelrostbraten meat wasn't very good compared with versions I've had elsewhere, though its sauce was excellent. The Kaesrahmspaetzle was too creamy, though I know Rahm means creamy and maybe we should've ordered something else. The Streuobstkuechle was greasy on top, but the ice cream was nice. The sauces are really good, but perhaps some recipes could be changed.

The wine selection was fantastic, and the menu was creative, with lots of their own organic products. We found this restaurant after a fun day at Legoland and were glad to see vegan, organic, and other options. The staff knew the menu and were attentive, which made the meal a pleasure. Highly recommended if you're looking for delicious, wholesome food.

We had a relaxed meal of traditional German food, and I really enjoyed it, especially with some great German beer. The service was friendly and attentive. It's a lovely family-run hotel just a few minutes off the motorway, and it looks like it's been refurbished recently in very tasteful style.
