The room itself was fine for the price, but I wouldn’t stay here again. I chose the place partly because the listing offered breakfast for an extra fee, but in practice there was no breakfast available. Privacy was another problem. If you forget to hang the do-not-disturb sign, housekeeping may knock and ring the bell in the morning to replace towels that were changed the day before. There’s a small kitchen, but not a dish, mug, or piece of cutlery unless you leave a 15 euro deposit. I’ve traveled a lot and haven’t encountered that before. At check-in I was charged about 17 euro in tax that hadn’t been mentioned during booking, which brought the price close to several other hotels I could have chosen. I extended my stay for four days, and at checkout they asked for another 22 euro, saying there’d been a mistake on the second bill. I understand it may not have been intentional, but it felt like they were asking for extra money for random reasons, and it spoiled the impression.

The reception guys were the one good part, really kind and pleasant. The room was comfortable, but it was terribly dirty and dusty, the toilet smelled, and the hygiene was poor. Sheets and towels were changed only once a week.

The beds were good and the bathroom was okay, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or come back. I stayed for 20 days, and the room was large but in terrible repair, with awful furniture. The chairs were old, falling apart, and covered in dirty marks, much like the sofa. Most kitchen appliances didn’t work, so I had to buy my own kettle and electric stove. One stove was broken and the other barely heated, and there was no hot water in the kitchen. The room lighting was very dim, the shower curtain was too long, and the Wi-Fi kept disconnecting, wouldn’t load anything, and required a new password each time. Each device had a different password, changed every two or three days. Staff and cleaning were good, but reception was 2 out of 5. We had a small dog, and 85 euros per night didn’t feel justified. We’d focused on the booking prices and thought extending the room for 3 days at 180 euros meant 3 nights, but it was for 2. When we asked how much 6 more nights would cost, they told us 500 euros including the dog, while the site showed 400. We paid cash and weren’t given receipts, so keep in mind you may be deceived at reception.

There’s a supermarket next door, and the tram ride to the city center takes about 25 minutes, which was manageable. But the stay itself was a poor experience. We arrived as a couple and were given two single beds; switching to a double cost an extra 10 euros. The replacement room smelled awful as soon as we opened the door, so we had to leave the windows open even though it was zero degrees outside. It was dirty, with questionable white stains across the sofa, armchair, and curtains. There’s only one corkscrew in the whole building, so we had to go to reception to open a bottle of wine. There’s no iron in the rooms either, and I had to book a time to use the iron and board in the filthy basement. I might stay for a night or two if money were tight, but I wouldn’t recommend it or call it a good experience.

Kaufland is right behind the hotel and stays open for shopping until 22 pm. Our room faced it and was a bit noisy, but the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms aren’t modern, though they were clean and neat, and the bedroom, living room, bathroom, and kitchenette were all very spacious. Breakfast costs extra, and the fresh food was tasty with a good range of choices. You can park on the street or pay for the hotel’s underground parking, where bikes can also be left. There are special procedures for late check-ins. I really recommend this hotel.
