The hospitality was quite good, which makes the stay especially disappointing. I was there on a business trip, but drilling and hammering started early each morning, including over the weekend, and this had been going on for three days. I work shifts, so I can't see this hotel working for me anymore and will need to find somewhere else. Its central location had been a plus. One morning, while I was asleep, a woman came into my room without knocking. She woke me, then shut the door and left straight away. Since then I've felt stressed, worrying that someone might come in at any moment. This really needs to be addressed.

The rooms are spacious and nicely equipped, with classic decor alongside modern amenities. Hotel Holländischer Hof is an elegant, charming place, right by the Neckar River in a prime spot. The views of Heidelberg Castle and the Old Bridge are stunning.

The owner was really kind and accommodating, and breakfast in the morning was great. The room worked well for an overnight stay, and I slept well. The shower stall felt suited only to shorter people, and the water pressure could have been stronger. Also, the hall doors don't block much noise, so they might wake you during the night. Still, I liked the stay.
