Leonardo Royal Hotel Frankfurt

The view from our room was amazing, and everything felt clean and comfortable. We were celebrating my birthday and were pleasantly surprised by a complimentary room upgrade. Thanks to the team for the kind gesture and great service. We appreciated it and would happily return.

We ate at the hotel’s Sports Bar even though we weren’t staying there, and had a great evening. Chef Eddie took our specific dietary requirements seriously and made sure the meals were prepared thoughtfully without losing quality or flavour. Maiwand looked after us on the floor too, friendly, professional, and efficient. The whole team made us feel welcome. We’ll be back!

The room was comfortable, with a very good view outside, and I enjoyed the hotel itself. But the cleaning wasn’t done properly. When I asked a young male staff member for a drinking glass, he bluntly said there wasn’t one, which came across as rude. I took off two stars because of the service and housekeeping. I stayed two nights, and those parts need improvement.

The bar was a real plus, with good beer prices, excellent service, and four big TVs for sports. The bathroom also felt modern and recently updated. The rest of the building has more of a vintage feel, and the rooms are a bit old-fashioned, though everything was clean and well kept. There was even a connecting door to the next room. Getting to the 24th floor was confusing at first: the elevators seemed to stop only at 23 and 25, so I thought I’d need to use the stairs. Later I found another elevator bank near the stairwell that went straight to 24. Despite a few quirks from the building’s age, I had a pleasant stay.
