Colour Hotel

We had to clean the filthy room ourselves. The bathroom was extremely dirty, and a strong body odor from the cleaning staff lingered in the room and hallway, making the stay unbearable. Basic things were missing, including a water boiler. The window wouldn't close properly, the curtain didn't cover it fully, and the place felt abandoned and badly maintained. I've travelled all over Europe and never stayed in a hotel this poorly cleaned. Absolutely unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend it. Avoid this hotel.

The reception staff were welcoming, helpful, and understanding, which made things easier given our late arrival. We had no booking, but found the last available room at reception for a reasonable price compared with nearby hotels. It was on the fourth floor. The location is handy for the train station and city centre, with lots of shops and food nearby, though the area is run-down and noisy and can feel uncomfortable at night, especially if you don't know Frankfurt. Our twin room was cramped, with little space to move around. The beds were basic but fine for one night, and there was a wardrobe, small table, and working heating. The bathroom was usable but below standard, with mould in the corners and hair left by previous guests. The hairdryer didn't work and had cobwebs around it, and there was no dustbin. The room felt worn and needed better cleaning and maintenance. It's a budget-friendly last-minute option if you need somewhere in the city centre, and the price and location were good value, but expect a small room and cleanliness issues.

The bathroom was moldy, the rooms were run down, and the front desk wasn't helpful. The elevator didn't work and needed days to be fixed. One of the worst hotels I've stayed at, and especially unpleasant for the price.

The rooms were okay, but cleanliness needs work: we found two hairs and mold in the shower. Much of the hotel was being renovated, so the elevator couldn't be used, and the stairwell smelled strongly of paint. The mattresses were a little hard.
