Landhaus Alte Scheune

Seeing the charcuterie being prepared before breakfast was a treat. Breakfast itself was sumptuous, with something for everyone, and the food was excellent. The surroundings were delightful, and the owners and staff made me feel very welcome. A pretty special place with superb hospitality and first-class service all round. 😍

The breakfast choices were broad and delicious, and the staff were helpful. In the room, I appreciated the comfortable bed and pillows, good sound isolation, and a new, fully functional bathroom, even though it was small. There was a place to hang clothes, a work table, and pretty much every basic thing I needed. The rooms are clean, renovated, and minimal in design. The building’s exterior has a traditionally beautiful wooden look, with greenery and flowers, while the inside is modern and functional. For the price, it met all my expectations. One minor convenience that was missing was a raised or portable luggage stand. We had to open our bags on the floor, which wasn’t a big problem but could have been more comfortable.

I had a thoroughly pleasant stay and felt welcome the whole time. The staff were willing and friendly, the atmosphere had a cozy, country style, and the restaurant was excellent. This guesthouse brings together everything I like about Bavaria, Hesse, and Germany as a whole: beautiful countryside, warm people, delicious food, and of course the world’s best beer. I’d recommend it without hesitation.

The town is lovely, and both the hotel and restaurant were great. It’s about 25 minutes from downtown, so still close to everything. The staff were very friendly, and I’d definitely stay here again.
