Plaza Inn Ludwigsfelde Berlin Sa D

The location suited me, about a ten minute drive from the town center, with a gas station and an Italian restaurant close by. I stayed three times in January and February. The service was very friendly and kind overall, and the rooms have been renovated, but the stay had some real problems. The walls are so thin you hear everything from other rooms. Outside it’s relatively quiet at night, but you’ll need earplugs early in the morning when the airport starts up again around 5 am. Renovation work was still going on and got very loud at 7-8 am, so sleeping late wasn’t possible. The air conditioning was odd and noisy, sometimes switching itself on with a loud beep that startled me at night. The pillows were very uncomfortable too. On my last stay I had to leave at a set time for an important appointment, but a service truck had blocked my car in the parking lot. The staff couldn’t do anything about it. A notice by the parking spaces about when they’ll be blocked would help. My husband found a driver who still couldn’t move the truck, but at least put up the ramp so I had just enough room to get out. I was ten minutes late and the whole thing was very stressful.

We had everything we needed for an overnight stay in a clean, cozy room and bathroom. Breakfast was fresh and had a good choice. The team were friendly and helpful. Thanks for the warm welcome!

We booked at 10 pm while breaking up a long drive home, and checking in at 1 am was very convenient. Parking was free, and we didn’t need to make a big detour off the highway. The price was good for what we got. The rooms and bathrooms had been renovated recently, the bed was really comfortable, and the man at reception was super friendly. A big plus.

A good place for a short stay, with clean rooms and tasty breakfasts.
