The receptionist was very nice, but the room was tiny and felt like a bare hospital room, with little beyond a bed, chair and table. For more than a hundred bucks a night, I expected more than a barely renovated room with almost no TV and no fridge or minibar. There were bibles and crosses everywhere, while the surrounding construction sites felt like a wasteland. The industrial lobby had screaming teenagers, and the dusty, dated hallways made the place feel like a cheap youth hostel. I don’t know how it got three stars. The WiFi might as well not have existed: both my phone and laptop got stuck trying to connect throughout my stay. The radiators were at maximum when I arrived, making the room suffocatingly hot even in early April. Even the complimentary bottle of water was body temperature.

I was very disappointed with our stay. The rooms are extremely basic and uncomfortable for a longer visit, and without a microwave or refrigerator it’s very inconvenient to prepare or store food. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The hotel was great and very affordable. It’s a very multicultural centre, and I’d call it a centre for excellence. The Jesuits and other Catholic organizations run lots of programs and offer beautiful workshops across many areas of life. I loved the two workshops we attended at the same time: character and citizenship formation, and Storytelling.

Just one night here, and it was a pleasant stay. A handy choice when you need somewhere for a short visit.

The staff were lovely, and I was genuinely surprised by how nice the hotel was. Only thing I'd add is air conditioning in the rooms :)
