Lake Dieksee is visible from the balcony door and bathroom window, and only a minute’s walk away. It was peaceful, and we were delighted with our stay over Christmas and New Year in Bad Malente. There were four of us in the large holiday apartment for 11 nights. The housekeeper was very friendly and attentive, and the breakfast we ordered was delicious, nicely presented, and delivered on a trolley outside our room. Just a note for anyone with a disability: the bathroom has a bathtub but no shower.

The breakfast was generous, nicely presented, and had something for everyone. Every morning the housekeeper brought it right on time and took great care with the service. We stayed in a spacious, clean, well-furnished apartment that worked well for five people. It was nicely decorated without feeling cluttered. There was just one bathroom, which could be a drawback for a larger group. The toilet was rather low, and the bathtub had a window above it that didn’t provide privacy. Without extra grab bars, it couldn’t be used as a barrier-free shower. Getting in and out without a shower mat was quite risky for short children. The runner at the threshold between the living room and small bay window was coming loose and could trip someone. The main road outside is busy, and the traffic can be quite noisy from early morning through the day, so that’s something to be comfortable with. Apart from that, it was a lovely apartment. Thanks to the housekeeper and cleaning staff for being reliable and pleasant to work with at all times.

The check-in was smooth, and the apartment was modern, clean, and roomy enough. It’s in a great spot right by Lake Dieksee. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and had lots of choices, with perfect service. We can fully recommend staying here.
