The villa is stylish, with tasty, good-quality breakfast, and our host was very kind. It’s around 1.8 km on foot to the center of Meissen, along a pleasant path by the river. We also appreciated the clean, spacious rooms and good parking. We’d stay again.

The owner was amazing and so patient with my very bad German. I’m looking forward to coming back with my adult kids. Breakfast was breathtaking, especially the beautiful table arrangement. The design of this 160-year-old house is wonderful, with a great sense of place.

Frau Schönitz was such a welcoming, friendly host. The rooms were cozy and beautifully decorated, and breakfast was fresh and tasty. We had a wonderful weekend at Gästehaus Schönitz, with a great location and atmosphere. I’d recommend it to anyone staying in Meißen. We’ll definitely return, and thanks again for a perfect weekend!

The old town of Meissen is a pleasant 20-minute walk along the banks of the Elbe, with no traffic noise. We spent four relaxing days here between Christmas and New Year’s, and the apartment took up a whole floor. It was beautifully furnished, combining the building’s traditional charm with modern amenities. All the rooms were clean and well heated, a real help in winter after excursions or a trip to the Christmas market. Mrs. Schönitz gave us a warm farewell, and the welcome had been friendly and uncomplicated. We were delighted with our stay, recommend it wholeheartedly, and would gladly return.

We felt completely at ease here, and Ms. Schönitz gave us an outstanding welcome and great service. Any problem was dealt with right away, she’s a real go-getter! The breakfast was perfect, served in a fantastic setting, and there’s a lovely outdoor area to relax in. We loved the quaint rooms and their different feel. Highly recommended if you prefer a more private place than a hotel.
