Hotel Hiemer

I let the hotel know two days ahead, through Booking.com and email, that my flight was due to land at 21:10. I was travelling with my 2-year-old child, but the response was simply, “No check-in after 21:00 possible.” They offered no alternative at all, such as a key box or code, and no flexibility. Despite refusing to accommodate us, they still charged a 90% “no-show” fee. In a business built on hospitality, that was shocking and showed no basic empathy for families. If your flight might be tight, avoid this hotel. They put their rigid clock ahead of guests’ well-being. Later edit: Your response is factually incorrect and misleading. Booking.com confirmed that my reservation was non-refundable, so the claim that I could “cancel for free” is false. You sent me an official email saying, “Check-in after 21:00 is NOT possible.” Saying entry was impossible and then claiming a colleague “waited until 22:00” is contradictory and cynical, especially since you knew my arrival was 22:30. You charged a 90% fee for a “no-show” while refusing to provide a way for us to enter the property. That confirms what I said: you put technicalities and fees ahead of basic human hospitality for a family with a small child.
