The hotel needs a lot of work and modernization. Some things are literally held together with tape. The breakfast was more basic than I expected, with buns and croissants served in halves and juice in wine glasses. The food quality seemed questionable, there were no allergen labels, and there were very few alternative options, if any. On the plus side, we both slept really well in the very comfortable beds. The bathroom was small but clean, and the lake view from the sunroom-like extension attached to the room was nice.

I had a fantastic stay at Stausee Hotel for a conference. The staff were incredibly friendly and flexible, and they made everything easy. Highly recommend!

The lake view is lovely, and the setting feels properly close to nature, with fields, gardens and woods all around. It’s also quiet despite being very close to Outlet City Metzingen. I found the rooms lovely and spotless, and the homemade food was superb. Service was impeccable too. A perfect spot for a morning run. Well done!

Eating outside on the open terrace with that lake view is a treat. The menu is great, the wine is good, and the staff are kind and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable, and I’ve always had a great experience here. Definitely recommendable.

The translucent curtains made it hard for us and our one-year-old to sleep, and the pillows were poor quality. Still, the hotel has a nice view, sits in a pleasant area for walks, and the staff were friendly.
