Going with my team to enjoy Grünkohl made for a memorable time. The restaurant was nice, and the service was top notch.

Service was good, but the food was borderline. My Hamburg-style pan-fried fish came with three potatoes, two small fillets, and what seemed like a liter of sauce. The breading was soggy all over. If it’s breaded, I think at least the top should be crispy.

2/10
The service was friendly and helpful, to be fair. The meal, though, was beyond awful. The fried potatoes were greasy, burnt, had no seasoning, and were disgusting. There was so little steak on the platter I had to search for it, and the piece I found was like shoe leather, cooked to death. The chanterelles were also bland and swimming in grease. Cooking is an art, and the guy in the kitchen was completely out of his depth. In my opinion, anyone putting MSG in every dish has no clue about cooking. Amen.

The food was really good and came in generous portions, so the value for money was excellent despite the menu being somewhat pricey. It’s a lovely restaurant, and the owner and staff were friendly and helpful.
