Hotel Hirsch

We’d recommend staying here if you want to be close to Monschau without being in the touristy town, or if you’re planning to hike nearby or in the Eifel. The hotel is in a quiet, picturesque town, with a supermarket almost next door, a café 150m across the road, and a restaurant just past the supermarket. Monschau is 4km away, there are several other restaurants nearby, and Eifel national park is close too. Our room was lovely, with a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom, and a seating area. We only missed having a little fridge for cold water at night. Breakfast had plenty of tasty options. We stayed four nights in August 2025 and had a lovely time. The owner (?) was very friendly and relaxed with our 10-month old, who was having a tough time teething. There’s a nice kids’ playroom beside the breakfast room, though we noticed some dead insects there and think it should be cleaned more often.

The friendly, helpful staff made a difference. My room was comfortable and clean, and the warm atmosphere helped make the stay relaxing and pleasant. I really enjoyed my time here.

We had a very good stay in this spacious, very clean apartment in a quiet, beautiful village. The amenities are all modern, there’s parking right in front, and a garden at the back.

The hotel was really pet friendly, and we were glad we could bring our dog 😁. The staff were wonderful, even taking care with a small thing like heating milk. I also left my rings in the room. Mr. Lutterbach replied to my email quickly and sent them the next day 🙏🏼.
