ALTES SPITAL Hotel Café Bar Restaurant

Breakfast was amazing, and the cafeteria was top-notch. The staff made the place feel welcoming and were comfortable speaking both English and German. My stay was incredibly comfortable, and getting around was easy with the station just a 10-minute bus ride away. I had a great time here and would highly recommend it.

The food was delicious, the portions were huge, and it was really cheap. The staff were super friendly and spoke great English as well as German. Our rooms were modern, beautifully decorated, good quality, and a really generous size. We've spent three weeks traveling around Europe and staying in 4- and 5-star hotels, and this place could easily be at least a 4-star, maybe even a 5-star. Can't fault it, highly recommend.

Breakfast was OK, and the extra pillows arrived after we called for service. One small pillow each wasn't enough at first. We booked a family room for New Year's Eve, but it was in the hotel's newer section, whereas we'd have preferred the older one. It was also in the basement, with a car park at the back and no view at the front. The room itself was nice, though the glass bathroom doors meant there wasn't much privacy, which really didn't suit us.

The bar and restaurant were great, and the staff were lovely. Our room was a decent size, and the hotel is well located. The bathroom wasn't very private, though that was only a minor issue for our one-night stay.
