I called to arrange a short stay while I was in town to buy a car. Since I wasn’t feeling comfortable about my appointment the next day, the staff suggested where I could go and put me in touch with someone who knew the area. They were really helpful. We were glad to find the restaurant still serving food, and the staff were friendly, though a bit slow. It was quite full when we arrived, but a lot of guests left, so that only partly explains the wait. Dessert took over half an hour. Maybe they had to call in the person who normally makes it, who knows. The food might have been okay at a lower price, but for what they charge, it was actually bad.

We had a family lunch at the restaurant this afternoon, and the waitress was very accommodating with our group of 12. The food was excellent, with a good choice of fish and local dishes. And the desserts really took the cake, so to speak!

Dinner was great, and breakfast was delicious. The cheese selection was the best I’ve seen in Germany so far. It’s a lovely little hotel by the lake, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The owners don’t have enough staff, though, so expect to wait. We didn’t mind taking our time over a glass of wine.

The breakfast spread was much better than we expected, and the restaurant serves great food. We loved staying at Landhotel Huber. Great location and really friendly staff. We’ll be back!
