The receptionist was helpful, but the restaurant staff made for a pretty frustrating stay. We were turned away just before 9 on our first night, although the restaurant is listed as open until 10, because the kitchen closes at 9. We came back at 8:42 the next evening and the waitress told us to “learn from your mistakes” before walking off. That’s no way to treat hotel guests, especially at these prices. I’ve never seen someone seem so determined not to earn money for herself or the place.

The rooms are plain but clean, and there’s plenty of free parking across the street. We also had a great breakfast to start the day. Dinner was very good and reasonably priced, with friendly, attentive service. The wine list won me over, and there’s bound to be something that works with your meal.

We had a quiet table because we were with dogs, who were well behaved anyway. The guys were great about it. At the Fischetrol tonight, every course, from the starters through dessert, was delicious. Really good value, too.

Breakfast had lots of good choices, and dinner at this old-fashioned Bavarian inn was delicious. Our room was basic and clean, and dogs are allowed. It’s a lovely spot by the lake, but that church bell rings every 15 minutes. Forget sleeping in, even on a weekend. Without that, I’d have called it a must-stay 😒

Every bite was great, and the staff were so friendly. Owners, hang on to your head chef! I’d definitely recommend eating here.
