Flowers Hotel Münster

The bathroom was the only nice part. There were large stains in places on the room carpet, and the bed linens were dusty. It just didn't feel clean, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

This was the strangest hotel I've seen in a long time. There was no staff to help with check-in and no amenities or services. The location felt shady too. At 150€/night, you can find much better. Really bad.

Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of choice. The woman preparing it, with cheerful decorations in her hair, seemed to enjoy her work, and that care came through in the food. The people handling breakfast and room cleaning, both men and women, were friendly and welcoming. The shower was great, with good pressure and temperature. The beds took some getting used to, since they weren't like sleeping at home. The rooms also need proper ventilation, because humidity built up quickly and left condensation on the window frames. The hotel itself was clean and simple, and the rooms were tidy. The green shag carpet looked unhygienic at first, but it was clean, just an odd color choice. One blonde staff member was poor with customers. When I asked for an extra pillow, she cut me off with, “You get one pillow!” before I could explain. A gentleman helped me get the extra pillows and looked genuinely shocked by her response. I felt sorry for her coworkers. The hotel does a good job overall, but she could use a customer service refresher.

The bathroom had a horrible sewer smell, apparently because the shower drain trap wasn't working or wasn't there. With no management around in the evening, we covered the drain with a wet towel. No one apologized at checkout. The location is handy, close to the train station and a short walk to the town center, and the bed was reasonably comfortable. The green shag carpet is ugly, and the check-in time is late while check-out is relatively early.
