Adina Apartment Hotel Munich

Our main concern was the one-bedroom apartment’s layout. We booked that type so my wife, who stays up late, and I, who get up early, could have separate sleeping and living spaces. But there are no walls between the bedroom and the living room/kitchen, and the main door opens directly into the bedroom. It’s a beautiful, modern concept, and the bathroom is lovely; the blackout curtains work exceptionally well. Most people may be very happy with it, but the setup is worth knowing if you need separate space. The hotel itself is beautiful, with great staff. Michael at reception was especially helpful and took care of everything we needed. It’s a new hotel, open for only four years, with a modern design and nice touches. Reception and the restaurant are on the 14th floor, and the lovely pool and gym are on the 15th. It occupies several floors of a tall building, with a hostel below and other occupants above. It’s relatively far from the city centre in an up and coming district, but Munich East railway station is a short walk away, and trains take about five minutes downtown. We enjoyed those rides. We’ve stayed at several Adina properties in Germany, and this one has a lot of unique features. It’s worth considering for a visit to Munich.

For several nights of my stay, the nearby club’s music and bass were intolerable and continued until 5:30 AM. If you need a place where you can actually sleep, avoid this hotel. Rooms that are essentially unusable for rest until dawn are unacceptable in a hospitality establishment. In all my years of traveling, I’ve never experienced anything this maddening.

The rooms, amenities and gym are fine. The concert halls next door are another matter: the noise is DEAFENING and goes past the noise ordenance timing. If you’re traveling for work or with kids, good luck. Also, they advertise the restaurant, but every time I’ve been here they’ve hosted private events, so you can’t actually get food at the hotel itself.

I didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t comment on the rooms. This was mainly about two Business Package Meeting Days, plus a dinner. The meeting catering was outstanding, though at €108 pP it was pricier than other locations. Each break had 3-4 options, including genuinely excellent vegan choices when requested. The huge croissants were fresh, and there was freshly made avocado bread, apple cake and cookies. For the business lunch they provided a full vegan 3-course meal without any issues. Dinner had vegan options too, but the only vegan main was a letdown. At €17, it felt more like a starter than a proper main, especially compared with the €24 non-vegan mains, and the portion was significantly smaller. Hopefully that section of the menu improves. The other dishes, the view and the service were outstanding. Adina Hotel showed excellent service throughout and how inclusive guest treatment should be.
