Gutshotel Menterschwaige – Heritage Boutique Hotel with Timeless Elegance

We’ve stayed at Gutshotel Menterschwaige several times in recent weeks. I like that it’s in a green setting near the city, with good food and an organized setup. If you don’t need to be right in the center, it works well. By car or bike, the center is about 30 minutes away. Breakfast is worth booking. The “Catch of the Morning” and fitness breakfast are filling, there are several coffee specialties, and the service was consistently friendly. When the weather’s good, sitting beneath the trees in the beer garden is lovely. The hotel is right on the high banks of the Isar, with separate bike paths south and toward Munich, plus running trails and steep access points down to the river that are great for HIIT. The rooms are spacious and modern, with comfortable beds that may feel a little firm to some. Parking and EV charging are available. If the lot is full, there’s plenty of street parking. A few practical details: digital check-in is to the left of the lobby. Doing the online pre-check-in beforehand saves time, and don’t zoom in too far on the QR code when scanning it. For arrivals after 11 p.m., the entrance keypad is to the right of the main door. The path from the car park isn’t lit late at night, so a small flashlight helps. The WhatsApp concierge was professionally run, and replied pleasantly to our questions even late at night.
