Motel One München-Hauptbahnhof

The location made getting around really easy, with the train station close by and restaurants, supermarkets, malls, cafes, and shops all around. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the bar is gorgeous. Staff were great. Our room was clean and a decent size, and the beds were comfortable, though the pillows were much too soft and there weren't other options. We had a great stay and highly recommend it.

The only thing that kept this from being five stars was breakfast, which really let the place down. Otherwise, it's a brilliant hotel, with easy access, great rooms, a funky look and lobby, and staff who were fabulous and so helpful.

I stopped by just for the bar, which has a very good choice of spirits and cocktails if you're getting tired of beer. It's a quiet, friendly spot with a lovely, calming green feel. The place seems fairly new, and the bar staff aren't quite up to speed yet. It's in the middle of a lively, multicultural neighborhood, not far from the city center, with plenty of takeaways and food places within walking distance.

I was easily woken, so the quiet really stood out. I heard no other guests, street sounds, fans, or plumbing all night. The rooms are clean, though a little small, and the staff were pleasant to chat with. Breakfast was good, just simple cold food. There's a nice bar downstairs, and the hotel rooms are simple. A subway stop is right outside, and it was also easy to walk into the old town.
