Hotel Olympic

We keep coming back because the team is amazing. They welcome us like friends and give us a beautiful room in an elegant hotel. It's easy to get around by public transport, and cafes, shops, and restaurants are nearby. Couldn't ask for better.

The guy at the front desk was super nice, but my conversation with a manager was the worst customer service I've experienced. I politely asked whether cancellation might be possible for a personal reason. She refused, which I had expected, though I still hoped for a little understanding. Then she accused me of fraud and started talking about some conspiracy involving AI. I stopped really listening after that, as her tone had become angry and offensive. The part I can't forget is her saying, “you come here to my country, and tell me what to do. Go where you came from”… I'm a tourist at your hotel! Absolutely don't recommend.

Breakfast was amazing, with a buffet around 20 meters long and more warm and cold dishes, fruit, vegetables, freshly baked bread and sandwiches, juices, cereals, and other food than I could name. I've travelled a lot and rarely seen such variety, so it could be called brunch instead of lunch. The hotel is outside Muenich, which keeps prices affordable. Rooms in the main building are a bit older but clean. Across the street, about 10 meters away, the new building has plenty of parking, a secured garage, and lots of modern, stylish rooms.

The bar right below our room was a bit noisy. Otherwise, it's a nice hotel with individually designed rooms and a certain flair. The rooms aren't very big, but they're fine for a city trip, and breakfast has a good selection. The area is excellent, with little shops and great restaurants in the Glockenbachviertel. The main shopping streets and Marien Platz are walkable.
