Grand Hotel Palladium Munich

The staff were friendly, and the continental food was good. For an extra fee, breakfast is included in the stay, and the price didn't seem too bad given the amount and range of food. Housekeeping missed our room a few times, though, and I found a roach in one of the drawers. That threw me off, even though most things looked and smelled clean. We found Palladium Hotel after a horrible experience at another “hotel” up the street, and I honestly wish we'd booked here first. The place is beautiful, with granite floors, high ceilings, bright lights, and spacious closets. The bathrooms were clean and stocked with plenty of toiletries, including body wash, lotion, slippers, toothpaste, and more. I'd love to stay at the Palladium again!

The buffet breakfast was alright, with the usual breads, cheeses, scrambled eggs, sausages, yoghurt, muesli, fruit, and coffee. We were happy with the hotel overall. The room had enough room for us to open two large suitcases, and we appreciated the disposable bedroom slippers, shower body and hair shampoo, tissues, hairdryer, and magnifying mirror. The toilet door's design, though, blocks the sink, which we didn't like. We stayed two nights. The location was good, within walking distance of the metro at "Machtlfinger StraBe", though the streets on the way felt quite dark at night. Oddly, there was no socket by the table where the kettle was, so we had to boil water at the bedside table.

The front desk helped put my mind at ease when I called with all my questions about our first trip to Germany. My husband and I had booked a couple of days to see Munich, and they answered everything we asked. We took public transport from the airport to Machtlfinger Straße (U3), then walked a short way to the hotel. Check-in was easy and the hotel is beautiful. Our flight was late, but checkout was early, so the front desk kindly held our luggage while we spent a few more hours exploring Munich before going back to the airport. We'd highly recommend staying here and would love to return someday.

I've stayed here on two business trips in one month and was very satisfied. The hotel has two wings, one with smaller rooms and one with spacious rooms. Both were equally clean, tidy, and welcoming. Friendly team too!
