Boutique Hotel Falkenturm

The bed was so good, and the room was very clean. It was quiet all evening and through the night. The staff were welcoming, and the hotel is just off the main drag, a short walk from the Christmas Markets. I’d definitely recommend it.

The manager, Mr. Nano, was especially helpful and very nice about accommodating requests. The rest of the staff were helpful too. This modern hotel was super clean and in a great location, about a 400 metre walk to Marienplatz, shops, and restaurants. I highly recommend it.

The hotel is in a great location, and it could be a lovely little spot, but my stay felt badly managed. The room, 405, was incredibly small, with hardly any room to place luggage or get to the bathroom. The toilet seat was loose, the shower wand was half brown off, and two plumbing stubs above the toilet were left exposed through holes in the tile. The shower was hard to use without getting a lot of water on the floor. The soft mattresses gave little support, and I was glad I stayed only one night because my back would have suffered over a longer visit. I was also overwhelmed by the incense smell in the elevator the next morning. The dark interior made it hard to tell whether things were clean. I saw open service-area doors and untidy carts, and staff sitting in those rooms talking on their phones. The doors should be kept closed, and the rooms cleaned and organized.

The self check-in was a little confusing, but an employee was right there to help us. The hotel is in the old town, close to museums, bars, and shopping, and the train station is under a five-minute walk away if you want to get around Munich. It’s a good choice for a tourist experience, and I’d stay again if I come back to Munich.
