Breakfast made the strongest impression on me, with a particularly luxurious feel. The restaurant is said to be excellent, and the service was good. The hotel sits in a pleasant, quiet residential suburb. Many places listed on the usual booking sites are near the train station, which is fine now, though that area used to feel run down.

The family room worked well for us: the wardrobe gave a bit of separation from the kids' bed. The rooms are somewhat dated, but we found that added to the hotel's charm. It's in a quiet neighborhood, handy for the English Garden and public transport. Breakfast was wonderful, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

I stopped in for a business lunch and had the Backhendl, which was very nice. There’s a lovely beer garden shaded by huge trees, and you can choose from the daily lunch menus or the à la carte options. It could be a nice place for dinner or an overnight stay too.

The bed was comfortable, and the standard room came with coffee-making facilities and bathrobes. One side of the bed was tucked under the sloping roof, so getting up there meant being careful not to hit my head. The small spa was okay, and both the restaurant and food were good. A pleasant stay in a traditional Bavarian hotel.

A bus goes right past the hotel, with stops close by in both directions, and check-in in English was easy. They also had packages waiting for us that I hadn't even known were being sent. The place overlooks the English Garden and is in a lovely quiet spot. It wasn't specially decorated for Christmas, but still gave our trip a festive feel.
