Hotel-Pension am Siegestor

Parking took some looking. I ended up leaving the car a couple of minutes from the hotel, though there are plenty of spaces along the street if you get lucky or arrive at the right time. Inside, the rooms were clean, breakfast was delicious, and the service was great. There are plenty of toilets and showers for the number of rooms. The location is hard to beat: two minutes from the subway, five from the English Garden, and easy to get to the old town.

Tanja and her team were so helpful, including being flexible about check-in and check-out and adding those little extras that made the stay nicer. The free breakfast was outstanding, the rooms were clean and well-equipped, and the value for money was excellent. The building has loads of character, with lovely views of LMU and the Siegestor in a wonderful area. I almost never review places on Google, but this hotel was absolutely FANTASTIC. Highly recommended!

The standout here is how clean everything is, and how available and kind the manager is. She's very helpful and speaks good English. The hotel is on a main route, with two metro stops to the Historic Centre. It's a relatively quiet spot on a street without heavy traffic, and parking may be available right outside. The building has an old elevator and no air-conditioning, so it suits people who aren't after a hyper-modern place. Breakfast is a simple, good buffet.

The building and its historic lift give the place a lot of charm, and it's good value for money. I had a great stay at Pension am Siegestor. My room was comfortable and clean, breakfast had a great selection, and Tanja, the owner, was very helpful. The location is excellent, just five minutes by metro from Marienplatz. I'd definitely come back.
