Hotel Isartor

The room was comfortable and had new amenities, and the location is perfect, under a 10-minute walk from Marianplatz. I wish there were a coffee maker in the room. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast, since the selection is limited and it isn't worth nearly $25. There are lots of local cafes nearby.

We came for the Christmas market and had booked four rooms at Hotel Isartor. By mistake, one room was booked for three nights instead of four. Since the hotel was overbooked, staff packed up our daughters' things while they were out, left their suitcases in the lobby, and waited until they returned to tell them they'd been removed from the room. There was no call, text, or courtesy about it. The desk clerk didn't seem to care at all, though the manager apologized. A terrible experience. Never again.

Good location, with nothing too far away, though the walk back at night felt long. It was a pretty good hotel, nothing special, and fine for a couple of days but not a longer stay.

The spotty Wi-Fi was the one letdown. Otherwise, the lift always worked, our spacious room had a very nice balcony, and the friendly staff and included breakfast were welcome. Hotel Isartor is on a quiet street between the old town and the river, and our street-facing room was peaceful every night. It's super clean, steps from the city sights, and right by a train stop with a connection to the airport. Great value for money, 10/10.
