Hotel Belle Blue

This stay was incredibly stressful. Breakfast was badly managed, and by 9:20 there was almost no food left. A staff member shouted aggressively at guests and used insulting language in front of everyone. When I was waiting to make coffee, I was shouted at, humiliated, and threatened with a call to the police. The room and bathroom were dirty, and there was visible black mold on the shower hose. The attempted apology the next day didn’t feel sincere. I travel all over the world and have never been treated this way. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone expecting basic respect and cleanliness.

The buffet was chaotic and poorly managed, with far too many guests for the space. We couldn’t even find a seat. Were we supposed to eat on the floor? Check-in was another problem. Staff seemed unprofessional and undertrained, and they failed to check our documents properly. Instead of taking responsibility, they blamed us and offered no solution or compromise. We raised our concerns more than once, but the hotel never followed up or gave us any feedback. Management seems uninterested in guest satisfaction. It was a huge letdown, with poor organization and no accountability. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

It’s a budget hotel, and for 60 -70 eur a night it’s a bargain. The neighborhood is a bit shady, but what do you expect for that price? Parking for 24 hours is 16 eur, breakfast is included and solid, and it’s a 10 minute walk to the center. Good for a one two day stay.

I checked out after about 30 minutes because the room smelled so awful, like something had died in it. I’d asked at reception for another room and was refused, with the attendant saying none were available. I also couldn’t speak with a manager. The attendant sprayed a scented aerosol in the room and told me to open the window, but that did nothing. When I packed up and went to check out, he refused to give me any document confirming I’d left early. Only as I was walking out did he call his manager and offer another room. By then I’d already booked somewhere else. I’ve emailed the hotel about a refund, and they’ve lied about what happened, claiming they offered another room immediately. I’m sure they’ll respond to this review by saying I’m lying. This was by far my worst hotel experience: disgusting room and awful customer service. Avoid this place at all costs.
