Marias Platzl

I don’t usually leave Google reviews for every hotel, but Marias Platzl is an exception. We had a FANTASTIC stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and it’s an easy walk into the main town area. I highly recommend it. You won’t regret staying here!

The walk to the old town is lovely, and the hotel has a charming, traditional Bavarian feel. Sophie was especially warm and helpful, greeting us each day and suggesting things to see nearby. The staff were all friendly, and I’d happily recommend staying here. 😊

Our room was cozy, and having a good restaurant right at the hotel was really convenient. The location also worked well for exploring Munich, sitting at a comfortable distance from the city center. What made the stay feel welcoming from the start was the front desk employee, who kindly let us check in very early without charging extra. We loved the relaxing atmosphere and would come back on our next trip.

The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, and the location is convenient for exploring Munich, with many transport hubs nearby. The staff also handled a problem pragmatically: we had booked and paid for four people, two adults and two kids, with an extra bed, but it wasn’t there when we arrived. After we contacted them, they helped us find a good solution. Five stars for that. There’s no air conditioning, so it gets boiling in summer. Opening the windows brings a lot of noise from the busy street. The garage is extremely narrow, and after 7pm there’s no reception, just self check-in. It’s a good option, probably especially in winter, but with a family I’d likely choose another hotel next time.
