Hotel Hauser

The quiet and easy access made us feel almost like residents, and the attentive service never felt intrusive. We spent a peaceful week here, with excellent soundproofing, smooth self check-in, and prompt, helpful email replies. The breakfast was a daily treat, especially coffee served from an elegant silver pot. You can feel the hotel's long history and experience in how well everything runs. Hotel Hauser combines tradition, comfort and care in a way that left us refreshed and impressed. Thank you for a dreamlike stay, and may your legacy continue for hundreds of years.

Breakfast was included each day, with bread, ham and sausages, salad, cereal, yoghurt, juice, fruit, coffee and tea. We had a double room on the second floor. It was compact but had the basics, and housekeeping kept it very clean every day. With the air conditioning on, the soundproofing was good and we slept well. There's a small lift, enough for one or two people with luggage at a time. Universitat station is nearby, with good transport to the old town and other places we wanted to see. A decent, more affordable Munich option I'd recommend.

A warm welcome from the polite staff, and the rooms were spotlessly clean. The hotel is in a very central spot, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Nice place.

The location is the one real plus: Alta Pinakothek is five blocks away, and there are other attractions and places to visit nearby. But the reviews and ratings give the wrong impression, in my view. The rooms are tiny and claustrophobic, with old, dirty-looking rugs and beds set very low. Everything feels small, including breakfast. The neighbourhood was loud, perhaps because of the nearby university. We paid €140.00 when it really should have cost less than €90. Unless you're in Munich for just one day to visit Alta Pinakothek and can't find anywhere else, I'd stay elsewhere.
