Mercure Hotel Muenchen am Olympiapark

The staff were friendly, especially the Thai lady. Still, we were surprised that there was only one bottle of water for the whole 4 night stay. When we asked at the front desk, they said extra bottles had to be purchased. After the first night, we put the “no cleaning” sign on the door to get extra ALL points, but they cleaned the room anyway and we didn’t receive the points. On our last night, the toilet kept flushing because the flush was broken. I called the front desk, but the mechanic wasn’t available and the hotel was fully booked, so we had to listen to the water all night.

Getting to the city centre and the bmw museum was convenient, and the hotel is close to the bus station. The facilities and location were very good. But the room was a bit damp and had a lot of bugs, which made it uncomfortable. The staff seemed indifferent, rarely offering help or greetings, and I didn’t see a smile. Some even seemed a little mean.

I really wonder how this hotel can be a Mercure when it’s supposed to have 4 stars. Everything felt old and badly cleaned, almost completely dirty.

Stay away! For days, the hotel has been giving all guests master keys that leave every room accessible to them. Both the on-site management and the chain management are refusing to deal with it.
