Hofatelier Menacher

The owner at Hofatelier Menacher was so welcoming and personable. He took plenty of time to talk with us and even showed us his workshop. Our room was spotless and quaint. It’s a distinctive place with a personal feel, and we’d love to return.

A very friendly host and a beautifully renovated farmhouse in a completely quiet spot. The holiday apartment has underfloor heating, an electric fireplace, a lovely kitchen, and a really comfortable bed. There’s a nice little bathroom too, and parking right in front of the house.

The host was warm and flexible, and this is a lovely base for outings. The accommodation has a lot of charm and lovely furniture and decorations, though the exposed beams and low door frames can be a bit of a challenge.

The surroundings are beautiful, and there’s a bakery within walking distance. In summer, it’s nice to sit outside comfortably with some privacy. The farm itself is beautiful, and the apartment is thoughtfully decorated, but I’d find it too cramped in bad weather. The “treasure cave” is tiny, and the door is low, so watch your head. The fridge is noisy, so we switched it off overnight. The bathroom fan runs for about 15 minutes, which is annoying at night. The pillows are thick and foam-filled, and the towels are small. Wi-Fi works almost everywhere inside and very well outside. The host is friendly but a little confused. Several double bookings caused frustration and meant some guests had to leave. The place itself isn’t especially attractive.
