Pension Martinus

The garden was big, well kept, and really cozy, and there was a barbecue hut we could use 👍🏽 The price felt completely fair. People were very nice 👌🏼 The rooms were clean and comfortable, with daily cleaning. They’re a little dated, but perfectly fine. Our balcony was a good size, with a table and chairs 👌🏼. There’s also a large breakfast room and a handy kitchenette with a stove and refrigerator. We’d love to come back 😎👍🏽

There was a large, noisy construction site right beside the house, and even though we called two days before arriving, nobody told us about it or the sauna being out of order. The brochure and booking process both promoted a sauna that supposedly broke on our arrival day. The owner said he couldn't get it repaired, while his daughter said it wasn't their fault if the repairman didn't come quickly. So which one was lying? There wasn't even an apology, let alone compensation. We won't return or recommend the place.

My room was cancelled without any explanation, seven months before I was due to arrive. I can't comment on the room or location, so the only thing I can rate is the service, and that gets one star.

The staff were friendly, breakfast was excellent, and the rooms were spacious, very clean, and modern. I'd happily stay again.
