Hotel Garni am Markt

The rooms were good, and breakfast was good too, though nobody mentioned that you could ask for scrambled or fried eggs. I liked the central spot, the reasonable price, and the bike storage with charging. The downside is that a thin door separates neighboring rooms, so you hear more than you want. Reception is only staffed in the morning, and otherwise you have to call. I also didn't think the bike storage key was kept very securely.

The whole team was super friendly and really focused on guests. The location is central too. That's hospitality! 🤗🤗🤗 And those much-discussed bells? I didn't even notice them.

We appreciated the free parking right outside and the excellent breakfast. Our double room was spacious and clean, with a modern bathroom, and we had a lovely view of St. George's Church from the living room. The receptionist was happy to arrange a room where we could work on the computer. The old building has been stylishly renovated and is well cared for. Staff were friendly, attentive, and spoke German. Thank you so much!

The checkout lady was very nice, but the stay left me disappointed. I was there for one night for a wedding, and for the price I expected much more. There were lots of stairs to reach the room, the shower cubicle was broken and leaked all over the bathroom, and there weren't enough towels or any soap. The bed and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable. The coffee and creamer in the room had expired in 2024, which made it seem like nobody had looked after them for years. I hope more attention is paid to the rooms in future, especially the single rooms.
