We stopped in for lunch. Drinks were good, and the service was quick and outstanding. The food was good, though not outstanding.

The dining room felt a little cold, and unfortunately there was no menu available in English. Still, the service was very friendly and the dishes came out right on time. I had the pan fried fish (Mecklenburger Pannfisch) with fried potatoes. It tasted good, though there was a bit too much mustard sauce, luckily kept underneath and beside the fish.

The terrace has a striking view over the lake. It's a nice, elegant restaurant on the shore of the Zierker See, with very pleasant staff and quick, easy service. The food is good and plentiful, with both meat and fish dishes.

The location is nice, with its own parking and the water close by. Sunsets show just outside the restaurant windows, and the historical areas are an easy walk away. Inside, the decor is okay, and the room was comfortable. Communication was frustrating. No one spoke any language besides German. When I asked about my reservation, the receptionist kept answering in German, even after I said in English, French and Swedish that I didn't understand. I know German is the local language, but for a foreign tourist visiting a historical area, I expected at least some knowledge of other languages. The bottle of water in the room cost about 3.5€, which felt a bit steep. Breakfast didn't have much variety, but it worked.
