Breakfast was great, and I especially appreciated the bio products. The breakfast team were so nice and made it even more enjoyable. The staff throughout the hotel were super friendly. It’s an older building with plenty of character, but feels fresh and well looked after, like a step back in time in a good way.

The rooms were lovely, and the decor was wonderfully over the top. I kept spotting new things to look at. The staff were helpful, and it was fun seeing how well they all got along. That seemed like a good sign of a nice workplace.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The owner was very personable and took the time to check in with each guest. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was fantastic. It’s a beautiful hotel, within easy walking distance of the city center, harbor and lots of restaurants. I’d absolutely recommend it!

The location was great, just two blocks from the central square, with shopping all around the square. There’s free parking at the back and a good place to lock up bikes. Our room was large and comfortable, and Wi-Fi was free. The rear rooms are newly built or renovated, while the front part of the hotel is the original home. Breakfast was superb, served in the front great room. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

There aren’t any lunch or dinner options here, which is a shame. The place feels very old fashioned, almost a “time warp,” and many guests are over 60. Still, the rooms are spacious and the beds moderately comfortable. If you speak German, there’s plenty to read: each room is named after an author and has shelves full of their books.
