They say the water does get warm, and at least there isn't food served in this building, so I'm hoping for the best. The rooms feel like musty shoeboxes, with a smell that suggests they were moldy at some point and then painted over. That ugly lint carpet doesn't help. Reception and breakfast are at a “partner hotel” five minutes away on foot. For this price, a bed only 90cm wide is outrageous. And that's before the traffic noise and the view of run-down buildings.

The room was clean and a reasonable size, and you're close to the station, town center, and Weser River. But it's in an old building with creaky stairs in a neighborhood that feels like it's dying, and the street was really noisy. There was no air conditioning. Since the room is separate from the main building, you have to go over there for check-in, check-out, meals, or questions.

The one good thing is that the staff are friendly, though I never actually saw them. The guesthouse is 400 meters from the hotel and feels like an abandoned house. There was nobody on site, no service or elevator, no curtains, and no way to lock the room. The rooms are worn down, with a musty smell everywhere.

It really felt like being a burden instead of a guest. Breakfast meant walking 400 meters, and the choice was limited and the same each day. Even when you order three fried eggs, you only get two on a tiny plate, as if that makes them look like more. Complaints, requests, and suggestions get ignored. This doesn't meet the standard of a four-star hotel.
