Franconia City Hotel

We had such a lovely three-night stay. The hotel was immaculate, warm, and cozy, and Tim and his mum were the loveliest hosts.

The rooms were a great size, and the hotel's location made it easy to walk to the main attractions and stations. It’s just far enough off the main routes to stay quiet. My wife and I spent a couple of nights here recently and loved it. Tim was incredibly gracious and helpful, the best host we had during nearly three weeks of travel. He also pointed us toward some great spots in the Old Town. If we get to visit Nuremberg again, we’ll absolutely try to stay here.

The hosts made everything feel easy and comfortable, from directions and check-in details to early check-in, tips for getting around the city, and a smooth checkout. They even gave us a small souvenir when we left, which was a thoughtful touch. We slept well and had plenty of energy for exploring. The room doesn’t have a full kitchen, but there’s an electric kettle and a small refrigerator without a freezer. The TV is a little old and small, though it has the Smart features we needed, and we watched YouTube in the evenings. Franconia City Hotel is right in the old city, just steps from Jakobsplatz, one of Nuremberg’s must-visit spots. We’d love to come back.

The hotel felt like a home from home, with thoughtful touches in the rooms and reception. It was a great base for the Christmas markets, about a 10-minute walk from the main square. The staff were very friendly and gave us lots of recommendations for our trip. We’d definitely stay again and recommend it to family and friends.
