The rooms were decent, and there’s a kitchen plus two separate rooms, two bathrooms and one shower. The location was the real surprise: right in the middle of the red light district. I honestly hadn’t expected to stay so close to it 🤣. There’s no reception, so you book ahead, find your way up to the third floor, and enter the PIN they send when you book. Finding the place can be tricky.

We booked at the last minute just to sleep before our early flight, and it turned into quite an experience. The hostel is in the red light district, and when we arrived it was locked. We called the number on the door; the man spoke Russian, luckily a language my husband knows. Later he sent codes for the front door and our room. There were no staff around and we didn’t see anyone all night, though loud music from downstairs made me think there was a nightclub. Interesting place, as I said.

Everything was clean and just right for our overnight stay. There’s paid parking right under the building. The red light district around it is pretty noisy, but with the window shut, I slept fine.

The facilities are all brand new and really clean, and the hostel itself looks new inside. The location is less appealing, since it’s in the city’s red light district. Music from the club downstairs carries up.
