We spent three weeks traveling in Europe, and staying at Karl August may have been the highlight. The hotel is so easy to walk from to anywhere in town, and the location is spot on. The lobby felt like a living room, with people relaxing there whenever we passed through, which gave the place a homey feel. Our room was fantastic and had all the amenities we needed. We also had a great dinner at the restaurant, sitting at the bar, and the staff were spectacular. It might be the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. Yes, it really was that good.

My room looked straight out onto the Christmas market, and the hotel is right in the center beside it. The room was a good size by European standards. The bathroom was excellent, large and modern, with a separate toilet and a huge vanity area. The staff were wonderful, and Brasserie Nitz & Patisserie Puque Nique by the reception were lovely too.

We returned after staying here last year and were just as happy this time. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and very clean, and there was a nice gym. The atmosphere felt welcoming. Parking was fairly comfortable, too. The Christmas market is right around the corner, yet it stays quite calm. Definitely recommend staying here :)

The breakfast was high quality, and there are lots of good restaurants close by. Our room at the Karl August was clean, spacious, and comfortable. It's ideally placed for visiting Nuremberg's fabulous Christmas Market. We'd happily stay again.

The rooms are lovely, and the hotel sits right in the middle of the city. Breakfast is excellent. There's no tea or coffee in the room, but you get a free coffee from the cafe downstairs during your stay. The restaurant is decent as well, though they are very keen on truffle.
