Hotel Elisei

We booked a weekend here to see the Christmas market and got a discount off the 100 euro rate, which made it much cheaper. Hotel prices around the city are generally crazy at that time. The location was okay, about 20-30 minutes from the city center, even later in the evening. The room was mostly clean, though there was hair on the sheets and shower towels. For 100 euros, I honestly would have been upset with the quality. Everything felt like the bare minimum: cheap materials and no proper coat hangers.

The bed took up so much space that it covered the sockets, so we had to move it away from the wall to charge our phones. The mattress was ridiculously soft, and we only had one poor pillow each. The rooms themselves were big and clean, with a very nice bathroom. We came for the Christmas markets, but the hotel was too far to walk in the cold, so we had to take an Uber each way. The website made the place look great, with easy self check-in and a good location, but the check-in was a mess. My surname was correct on the booking email, yet their system changed O’Hanlon to Oehanlon. We spent 20 minutes outside, on and off the phone with customer service, trying to get in. I can see how the system could work well, but having a host there to greet you and make you feel welcome would be fine too. I wasn't impressed.

I've stayed here twice and enjoyed it both times. The room was comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities I needed. The location is ideal, with nice places to eat easy to find. I could bring my dog without an extra charge. Check-in and check-out were simple and worry-free, either through the website or the machine right at the entrance. Worth the money.

Really nice hotel, clean room, and lovely staff. I had a good experience and would recommend it to my friends. Thanks for everything, hope to see you again!
