The price was very fair, and the apartment had everything we needed. It’s cosy and comfortable, easy to find, and in a great spot beside the U-Bahn station. Check-in was simple, all digital through the web app, including the door keys.

Some of the reviews make this place sound like a trip to the Kingdom of Hades for eternal punishment. My stay was far from that. The location isn’t perfect, and it’s not close to the station, but I’ve stayed in much worse areas of German cities. It was easy enough to get to, the facilities were good, and there was a private outdoor space where you could sit. Everything worked, the linens were fresh, and the place was very clean with a high-spec finish. It’s good value for money.

The apartment was stocked with kitchen gear, a water heater and a hair dryer, and it had full cable TV. Be aware the red-light district is around the corner, though it didn’t feel scary or especially loud at night. It’s about 20 minutes from Nürnberg airport, and I’d stay again. You need internet for check-in, either your own or their free Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi password is shared on the website or app in the same place as the check-in details. If you plan to use the app and open the doors with an NFC-capable phone, wait for the arrival-day check-in email, which includes a token.

We stayed for a week, and it’s very close to the old city you need in the evening. The train station is nearby too. If you have something to do at Messe, it’s a good place to stay.
